About Us
Dr. James Lee, Medical Director
Dr. Lee has been practicing emergency medicine for over seven years and is board-certified in emergency medicine. His clinical experience includes many years working in emergency departments, urgent care facilities, and occupational health clinics.
Dr. Lee also has additional background in medical economics and process improvement. He has been recognized for his research in emergency department performance improvement, with his research presented at national conference in 2002. He has been involved in several hospital committees, including Emergency Medicine Morbidity and Mortality, Hospital Continuous Quality Assurance/ Performance Improvement, Hospital Acute Myocardial Infarct/ Cardiology, Hospital Code Team Evaluation, and Hospital Utilization Management.
Further notables:
- Fellow of the American Board of Emergency Medicine, American College of Emergency Physicians, and the American Academy of Emergency Medicine.
- Previous Assistant Clinical Professor and attending physician with the University of Florida College of Medicine while working at the Winter Haven Hospital emergency department.
- Medical Review Officer certification for substance abuse testing (for Department of Transportation drug/ alcohol testing and Florida Drug-Free workplace testing).
- Florida Workers Compensation certification to provide medical care for both emergency care and urgent care settings.
